St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations Are Sweeping The Country

Here in the United States, it is celebrated through parades, parties, wearing official wear attire.

March 17th is officially St. Patrick’s Day. This is the day in which St. Patrick, the Patron Saint of Ireland, is honored. In Ireland, this is an official holiday. Here in the United States, it is celebrated through parades, parties, wearing official wear attire, eating green foods and drinking green drinks or dyed ones.

What are some of the events that are in store during this holiday in the US?

In Tallahassee, they are planning a parade in the downtown streets of their town. This parade is planned to start at 3:30 pm. After the parade a festival will begin. This festival will include entertainment and drinks, for all those over the legal drinking age.

In Dover, Delaware, The Irish Society is holding their annual St. Patrick’s Day party at the Elk’s Lodge. There will be traditional Irish music played by the “Sean Fleming Band.” The party will be held on March 16, 2012 at the Elk’s Lodge, which is located at 200 Saulsbury Road, in Dover, Delaware.

There are many events scheduled in Boston, Massachusetts for St. Patrick’s Day. One event includes a family friendly atmosphere to enjoy the parade. On Sunday at 12:30 pm, one can enjoy the parade and the family atmosphere at the South Boston Action Center.  If beer is how you picture enjoying St. Patrick’s Day, you may enjoy the gathering that will start at 10 am at the 3rd Annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration at Landsdowne Pub, in Boston, MA. They plan on having an authentic assortment of food and a huge assortment of beer.
