Shawn Michaels Last Bow?

What's hot on the net this morning? What's in the top ranks of the buzz? Shawn Michaels taking his last bow.

Yesterday, March, Sunday March 28, 2010, a date that will live in the memory of pro-wrestling fans, Shawn Michaels  left the ring for the last time. After twenty two years, from 1988 to 2010, he was retired  as a pro-wrestler. The Monday Night Raw fan magnet, one of the biggest stars of pro-wrestling,  went out, retired by that hulking menace of the WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment), the Undertaker at WrestleMania 26. He went out like the champion that he is, with the respect of his fellow pro-wrestlers and the admiration of his fans.

Shawn Michaels last bow in the ring -- from the fan site Michaels Web, "Taker pulled Shawn to his feet. They locked eyes, shook hands, and hugged. Taker, in a respectful move, left the ring as the crowd paid their last respects to Shawn Michaels and his legendary career. Shawn thanked the crowd as they thanked him. He had a look of relief and content on his nearly tear soaked face... Shawn left the ring and shook hands with the fans as he walked up the ramp. He applauded the crowd as he took one final look. "

Well, after twenty two years, it would have been better if Shawn Michaels had won his last match -- Vince McMahon!  Well, maybe there is a future after retirement? A comeback?

What's Dubya's Problem?

I heard about it and I couldn't  believe it. I saw the video clip of the incident and I still can't believe it.  George Dubya Bush wipes his hand on Bill Clinton's shirt after shaking hands with Haitians. Looks bad. Can't believe Dubya is that stupid as to be down there dissing people. There must be another explanation.

When the clip opens Dubya looks lost and confused,  like he is somewhere where he doesn't want to be. Well, he and Bill Clinton went to Haiti on Monday,  to see first hand the aftermath of the country's earthquake disaster. He and Bill Clinton are heading a fund raising drive to help the people and the country of Haiti. They made a press stop in the capital of Port-Au-Prince, a press stop, with cameras and recording equipment running, and with the necessary number of post-earthquake victims to make for a good  photo-op -- and Dubya must have known that he was on camera, when he shook hand with a Haitian man and then immediately wiped his hands on Bill Clinton's shirt. What was he doing? Blaming Bill Clinton for getting him into a situation where there are so many black people? Did Dubya know anything about Haiti before hand? Dubya, shame on you. Wait a minute  -- I wonder if it was those black people  Dubya didn't like, or was it that he just didn't like Bill Clinton's shirt? That's it! That's the explanation. Dubya just didn't like Bill Clinton's shirt. Maybe, before on Dubya's and Bill Clinton's next trip together somewhere, Dubya's mama can pick out a better shirt for Bill Clinton to wear? Huh?

Perfect Bracket Thus Far

One of the greatest things about March Madness is filling out a bracket, for everyone can do it.  My hilarious friend from college was bragging about her upset pick of Northern Iowa over Kansas because she soley picked the games on school color.

An incredible story, however, comes from Chicago, as 17-year-old, Alex Hermann, is most likely the only human on this earth that has a perfect bracket for this year's tournament.  With all of the upsets so far in this tournament, it is beyond a miracle that he has gotten this far.

Alex, who is autistic, told NBCChicago.com, "I'm good at math.  I'm kind of good at math and at stats I see on TV during the game."  He also must be a pretty good pyschic.

Many websites, like Yahoo and CBS Sports, have cash prizes for a perfect bracket, but unfortunately Alex put his bracket on the only one of the three on CBS Sports that does not have a prize.

He's got an uphill battle, however, for the odds, according to BookofOdds.com, of an entirely perfect bracket are 1 in 13,460,000.  He also has Purdue winning the tournament, and may have been biased in the pick because his older brother goes to school.

I'm pulling for him, though, and it still has a chance of happening.  The purple team, known as Northern Iowa, ended my bracket, for I had Kansas taking it all.  Best of luck, kid.

The Tiger Talks A Little

Tiger Woods,  in preparing for his return to golf at the Masters on April  8th, gave two brief interviews, one to ESPN, and one to  Golf Channel on Sunday.  These were  Tiger Woods first interview in four months, the first time he has answered questions since his one-car accident Nov. 27, that led to revelations about his personal business,  the infidelity in his marriage.  He answered few questions in the two separate  five minute interviews. He declined to discuss details of the accident.  He told the Golf Channel, "It's all in the police report. Beyond that, everything's between Elin (his wife) and myself and that's private."

He was of course pressed about his private personal life, like in, he is not the greatest golfer in the world, but the greatest  "scandal magnet." He  told ESPN, "I’ve done some pretty bad things in my life. And, all came to a head. But now, after treatment, going for inpatient treatment for 45 days and more outpatient treatment, I’m getting back to my old roots.” He told the Golf Channel,  "I (had) tried to stop (on his own without treatment) and couldn't stop," and said he became "disgusted" with himself as he carried on affair after affair. He  missed the "guidance" of his deceased father, whom he said would have helped him to avoid his problem. He said that he will continue to receive therapy. When he was asked how he would measure success at the Masters, he said that he hoped for collegiality from the other golfers. When asked what reaction he expected from the fans at the Masters Tournament, he said, “I don’t know. I don’t know. I’m a little nervous about this to be honest with you. It would be nice to hear a couple claps here and there.”

I bet he gets a lot of claps. And if he plays well, cheers.

Letterman & Kimmel Team To Bully Leno?

I missed the David Letterman, show last night (3/16/10) to catch Betty White on Leno. Checking the web this morning, I read the buzz about  Jimmy Kimmel's appearance on Letterman's show. Jimmy Kimmel of  "Jimmy Kimmel Live!",  the late-night talk show that airs on ABC, and David Letterman of CBS late night show -- What did Kimmel and Letterman  talk about?  NBC's Jay Leno. What else? Letterman and Kimmel swapped stories about one of their favorite targets / topics, Jay Leno. I caught a clip of the Letterman and Kimmel exchange -- Yes, some of the jokes were funny, but that is not the point. It is not a good sign when the two of them feel the need to team up to trash Leno. After one week back at the 'Tonight "  show desk, Leno has placed the NBC show back on top. Letterman must be feeling the heat. Stay tune. Somehow, I feel that a Leno response is coming.

Betty White: Hot and In Demand -- On Leno

Betty White is hot in America and she is getting hotter. Caught her last night on the Leno show. She was funny. She flirted with Hugh Jackman and talked about her hyper, gone red hot and just sizzling, pop/rock star like status.

By now everybody knows that Betty White, who once was best known for her roles on the 'Golden Girls" and "The Mary Tyler Moore" shows is now known as the Facebook grandmother. Her Facebook fans, a half a million strong, got her the gig of hosting  Saturday Night Live on May 8. The gig is building into an Internet event. Everybody is expecting super ratings. She is hotter than ever. She has signed for a full season of  shows on TV Land's new sitcom series 'Hot in Cleveland'. Weeks ago, she was offered a minor role, but now that she is in demand and hot, and is getting hotter, her role on the show has been upgraded to a starring part. She comes with an active fan base who expect to tune in and watch a good series. Let's hope that the show has good writers who will give her character the good lines that her talent deserves.

The Tiger Announces His Return

Late this morning Tiger Woods issued the statement that he will  return to golf  on April 8th, to play in the Masters tournament , and all afternoon cable news, the golf channel, and the Internet Social Media sites have been buzzing about what this will mean to golf, to the world, to civilization -- yeah.

In the statement, the Tiger said, "The Masters is where I won my first major, and I view this tournament with great respect ... After a long and necessary time away from the game, I feel like I’m ready to start my season at Augusta."

Tiger fans and other non-busy bodies, folks who don't get into other peoples personal business, or who don't  throw stones,  welcome his return, and many hope that he will win the Masters. On the lips of the rude wags are questions, that they want him to answer, and to explain  for the nth time his personal behavior. deeds, actions, the size of his johnson, whatever. In his statement, he did say, "I have undergone almost two months of in-patient therapy, and I am continuing my treatment."   The word from the Tiger Wood's camp is  that the Tiger will only be answering golf related questions in the future.

I'm glad to see that the Tiger is returning. Without him, golf is boring.

Seinfeld, SNL and Massa

Former Congressman Eric Massa, who left Congress under a cloud, hoping to head off an investigation into charges that he sexually harassed male members of his staff, is about to bow into news oblivion. Mr. Massa's chosen method of departure, his  twisted trail of changing stories, his attempt to place the fault and the blame,  and the responsibility, for his failures on others, his feeble attempts for revenge,  only added to his public embarrassment and humiliation. Saturday Night Live (SNL), that observer of and commentator on the foibles of the powerful and of the not so powerful of our times, has weighed in on ex-Congressman Massa and on his weird departure.

Comedian Jerry Seinfeld  joined SNL regular Seth Meyers in a comedy sketch,  called  "Really!?! With Seth And Jerry", that lampooned Mr. Massa, and the ever-growing list of things he said, that he did with his staff, that were not gay or even "sexual". Mr  Seinfeld: asked the question that was on the minds of many who listened to Mr. Massa's explanations, on the Glenn Beck and Larry King shows, for/of  his non sexual deeds with male staffers -- Seinfeld asked: "Why do I have the feeling that Massa massages were followed by Massa-bations?"

John Edwards, you should kick yourself.

Today, John Edwards has another bad day in the news. First check out the article about his mistress in the Washington Post on line."Rielle Hunter speaks for the first time in GQ interview about John and Elizabeth Edwards, Andrew Young, and the big-money donors." The pantless photos look so Hollywoodish, B- movie- ish. R-rated.

The mistress bad mouthing the saintly, now ex-wife isn't going to go down well. Did she have to describe their first date? How they slept together the first night they met?  Well, it was better than Ex congressman Massa telling the world of his encounter with the White House chief of staff in the shower room of  gym of the House of Representatives!.

In todays, Daily Beast, check out the article, "Edwards Sex Tape Details," -- and  ask yourself: Did you ever really think for a second that John Edwards should be in the White House?
He makes a SEX video with a mistress! When he made the video, he was a married presidential candidate with a loyal, cancer-stricken wife, and it was during the campaign season, a few months before the Iowa caucuses!

John Edwards, you should kick yourself.
