The Tiger Returns to The Masters

Tiger WoodsTiger WoodsTiger Woods is back on the golf course, practicing, getting ready to play for the Masters at the Augusta National golf club, which begins on April, 8th. This is expected to be the most watched pro-golf event in history. The media has been making ready since last month, when he announced his return to golf.  He is to hold a press conference  today, Monday, at 2 p.m. And, as the Daily News reports, interest in him is so high "that the club has limited seating to one reporter for each news outlet, with only a few exceptions." The press conference is scheduled to be held in the club's interview room, a small space that will limit the number of reporters able to attend and to ask questions. The press conference is not expected to be moved to a larger space, because of  "the club's staid rules of decorum and a culture that insulates pro golfers from the media and fans." (ABC News)

Jaime EscalanteJaime EscalanteThe Associated Press reported tonight that Jaime  Escalante, the math teacher who transformed Garfield High, a tough East Los Angeles high school, and inspired the 1988 movie, "Stand and Deliver," starring Edward James Olmos, died today, March 30, 2010, at his son's home near Sacramento, after battling bladder cancer for several years. Shawn MichaelsShawn MichaelsWhat's hot on the net this morning? What's in the top ranks of the buzz? Shawn Michaels taking his last bow.

Yesterday, March, Sunday March 28, 2010, a date that will live in the memory of pro-wrestling fans, Shawn Michaels  left the ring for the last time. After twenty two years, from 1988 to 2010, he was retired  as a pro-wrestler. The Monday Night Raw fan magnet, one of the biggest stars of pro-wrestling,  went out, retired by that hulking menace of the WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment), the Undertaker at WrestleMania 26. He went out like the champion that he is, with the respect of his fellow pro-wrestlers and the admiration of his fans.

Perfect Bracket Thus Far

BracketBracketOne of the greatest things about March Madness is filling out a bracket, for everyone can do it.  My hilarious friend from college was bragging about her upset pick of Northern Iowa over Kansas because she soley picked the games on school color.

An incredible story, however, comes from Chicago, as 17-year-old, Alex Hermann, is most likely the only human on this earth that has a perfect bracket for this year's tournament.  With all of the upsets so far in this tournament, it is beyond a miracle that he has gotten this far.
